Join us and become Lead Application Consultant in the Smart Production Thermal & Power Hub team. Together with your seven colleagues, you will be responsible for delivering and maintaining software solutions that support business processes in our business units. One of our key areas of expertise is to develop, monitor and maintain IT solutions building the future platform for smart energy.
Smart Production Thermal & Power Hub is part of our Group functions which cover Group Support, Group Finance & Services and Group IT. In Group IT, we focus our efforts on supporting the entire business and ensuring that the company works as a professional, reliable and responsible company.
You may choose freely to be based either at our office in Skærbæk near Fredericia or in Gentofte in the Greater Copenhagen area. However, you should expect some travelling to our offices in Denmark in relation to your work.
Your key tasks will be to
- introduce the initiatives necessary to ensure stable and performing applications
- participate in the daily agile development process
- participate in an on-call 24/7 duty roster handling critical incidents on critical systems within your own competence area
- keep yourself up-to-date with technological possibilities and business strategies.
You will be part of the ongoing development of IT solutions supporting the optimisation of energy generation and consumption to create a more competitive offering for our customers in the UK and Germany. A key component in this respect is to develop a platform that gives our customers the possibility of balancing the grid in an economically optimised manner. We deliver solutions using an R&D approach, making prototyping the foundation for our agile process.
Your qualifications and core competences include that you
- hold a relevant master’s degree in engineering or IT
- have a proven record of achievements in your field, preferably within the energy sector
- thrive on being challenged with new requirements
- are eager to learn new technologies and apply your skills when designing the right solution
- take pride in supporting and maintaining the system and value high-quality architecture and coding making it maintainable, reliable and high-performing.
Moreover, you are an analytical team player who is able to see and understand issues from different perspectives and possess the ability to understand the business’ needs and transform these into solutions by sparring with your colleagues on technical issues. Furthermore, you are a key person to the business, project teams and colleagues in IT, always able to act as an initiator, bridging different views and sharing knowledge in an open-minded and cooperative manner.
You are comfortable working in a dynamic and complex environment and you are empathic, have a high drive and are strategic as well as pragmatic. As we operate in a highly international environment, it is essential that you speak and write English fluently.
You will deliver both on premise and Azure cloud solutions, and the main areas of expected expertise are:
- Microsoft Azure Cloud
- BigData - Hadoop / Spark / Hive
- Data Analytics - Elastic Search, Data Lake Analytics, Machine Learning
- Visual Studio 2015, C#, Visual Studio Team Services
- MS SQL & NoSQL databases
