Lead Engineer, Loads and Performance Technology Development

Do you want to move the cutting edge of Wind Turbine Technology? Join us in the Loads & Performance Engineering department and help design the wind turbines of the future.

Rotor, Tower & Control > Loads & Performance Engineering > Loads Technologies & VTS
Vestas Technology & Service Solutions (TSS) is where new product ideas are developed, matured, improved and tested. To put it short, we are shaping the future of modern energy and we operate on a global scale with more than 1,300 employees.

Within TSS, the turbine Loads and Performance Engineering (LPE) department is responsible for all turbine loads calculations, power curves, assessment of dynamic stability and noise footprint. This department works very closely together with other core areas such as aerodynamics, acoustics, wind turbine control, blade design and tower design. With a multi-cultural team of more than 30 engineers, the department activities range from sales and service support to new product design, turbine improvements and innovation projects.

As part of LPE, a special team is dedicated to the continuous improvement of the technology and software tools related to the loads, power and stability of our turbines. The team owns, maintains and develops an extensive tool portfolio and has several ongoing innovation projects. Furthermore, we are involved in blade design, control and performance optimization, stability analysis and the definition of new methodologies. On a daily basis, we strive to make the best performing turbines for the lowest cost.
