Are you passionate about acoustics and do you want to be part of the evaluation of the future hearing aid solutions?
We are looking for a new skilled and engaged colleague to our acoustic verification engineer team.  The team is part of the Applied Research Team, which is comprised of engineers and audiologists working in close collaboration to evaluate hearing aid functionality through acoustic measurements and experiments with test subjects. The team is part of the Global Development department in Widex.

Verifying and Contributing to the Development of Future Products
As an acoustical verification engineer, you will be responsible for acoustic verification on hearing aid solutions incl. firmware, fitting software and accessories with the primary purpose of evaluating the acoustic output of our hearing aids with variating settings and inputs. The findings from these tests are shared with our colleagues in Global Development and are an important contribution to the iterative process of developing and maturing features and optimizing and approving our products. The findings are also used directly to evaluate, if a product under development is ready for test on hearing impaired or not together with the audiologists in the Applied Research team. The evaluation process often includes taking part in the disentangling of issue causes and implications together with development engineers.

You will also take active part in the continuous development of the local and general test domain in Applied Research and Global Development through optimization of test strategies, test routines and test automation. We are improving our automation systems on a constant basis and work in general primarily with Excel, MATLAB, VBA and TestComplete as automation tools.

We can offer you a job that calls on a set of different skills which will come into play in the collaboration with many different professionals and give you a good insight into our HW and SW products.

About you
You are an ideal candidate for the job if you are an engineer within acoustics, psychoacoustics or similar as expertise area and have knowledge and experience with acoustic measurements, testing or verification of acoustic systems with or without related software. You might even have specific experience with digital hearing aids or other aspects of the audiological field.

You are a structured and observant person with a flair and interest in bug detection, hunting, and solving. You use your excellent analytical skills in the detective work that follows, when test results do not turn out as expected.

You are quality-minded and persistent with a pragmatic approach and an ability to distinguish between important and less important tasks.

You take responsibility for your own tasks but also know that best results are obtained through teamwork. Therefore, you are both collaborative and flexible and open to support or to help colleagues whenever it is needed.
