In our R&D Software Department we are currently on a very exciting journey of growth and development. We need you to help us succeed. With more than 70 software development experts, organized in scrum development teams in Denmark and abroad, we play a critical role in the ambitions FOSS has for the future. We are taking some big steps into next generation of solutions that will offer our customers a new digital universe and easier to use, more rewarding and value adding analytical solutions to help them improve food safety, food quality and optimize their production worldwide.

The job

You will be responsible for gathering requirements and translating these to working implementations in a generic reusable software platform. The platform is used by other projects for building dedicated applications for analysing agricultural samples. Hence, a large part of the job is to understand needs and map these to functional designs.

Your primary tasks will be:

• Making design and visualisation of software architecture
• Gathering requirements and mapping these to software architecture
• Implementation of common software components in C#
• Mentoring other developers, also in distributed teams

Qualifications
Apply now if you can subscribe to the following qualifications:

• A Master Degree in IT. I.e. “Datalog”, Cand.scient or similar
• Solid foundation in theoretical computer science
• Experience with data modelling and mapping to physical implementation
• Expert in the .NET/C# platform
• Experience with design of secure APIs
• Good at visualizing and documenting designs

You have experience with performing stakeholder review and gathering feedback. On top of that, you have excellent communication skills in English and Danish - written and spoken, a sincere interest in IT technology. You follow technology trends and try them out. And you have an excellent understanding of systems, and how the dots connect.

It will be an advantage if you have experience with:

• Product development
• Databases
• HTML5/JS/CSS
• Agile methodologies and scrum development processes

You are highly regarded by your colleagues for your people skills and your ability to understand needs and translate these into software others can relate to. You know which technologies rock, and enjoy trying these out in proofs of concept. You know that good software is easy to maintain, which implies that it is easy to understand for other developers. FOSS R&D Software occupies 70 software professionals in development, test and product ownership. Additionally, FOSS has 30 professionals working for our outsourcing partner in Saint Petersburg.
