Four Design is recruiting a proactive and strategic thinking Product Development Manager to lead product development of the group in cooperation with the design and development teams of Four Design and our parent company Ocee International. Part of the strategy for the years to come is to keep Four Design and Ocee in the front line on the world market and to focus on integrating the development team in the UK with the Danish team in order to reach a higher synergy.
The Role
Our new Product Development Manager will report directly to the CEO at Four Design and have the direct line management of the Danish development team, counting 5 people. Furthermore you have to involve and coordinate the development team of Ocee International.
Main Issues:
You are to optimise the performance and capability of the department and maximise the potential of the individual team members. This to assure support of the idea phase and guarantee technical opportunities in order to fulfil all required quality standards including to manage processes to meet deadlines. The Product Development Manager will join the management team and be an important teamplayer in the implementation of new products working with both the UK and DK production departments. Furthermore you’ll be responsible for providing technical support to customers, sales people and manufacturing partners worldwide.
Management Style:
The product development team is the key to the future of our business. With a huge personal drive you manage to motivate your team to operate with a business oriented mind set and deliver high quality products in worldwide designs in cooperation with external designers, often with short deadlines. As the Product Development Manager you achieve goals by providing optimal levels of leadership by showing encouragement, training and support in order to help others achieve their results and hold the budgets.
The Candidate
As our new Product Development Manager you have the ability to identify and seek creative solutions for the development of the product range and you are able to prove good results within management of a product development team having several years of experience.
Education:
You have formal management qualifications within people management along with an engineering degree. You are well experienced in product development management writing design briefs and managing the process together with the designers and the internal development teams. You have the ability to overview the implementation of each design process and project management.
Important Skills:
You have excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to interface at all levels and functions. Strong communication skills are necessary to create a positive and innovative atmosphere and encourage others to communicate effectively and efficiently. You show fluency in Danish and English. Finally you join the group with a good sense of humour.

Location and traveling:
The position is located in Gislev but you’ll be looking forward to travelling to our parent company in the UK, our manufacturing partners and suppliers in Europe and overseas - approximately 20-30 days a year. Employment conditions are negotiated individually. Engagement as from January 1st 2017 is preferred.
