Does the idea of putting your footprint from Product concept to final product implementation fascinate you? Would you like to be part of a team developing the future VELUX roof light accessories? In addition, would you thrive on working in a company that leads the market in sustainable indoor living? Then this position as development engineer could be the next step in your career. 

You will be located in Skjern together with 450 highly engaged and motivated colleagues.

Your challenges
You will be part of one of our NPL teams (New Product Launch), which is part of our Innovation Center. You will play a vital role with development of our internal and external accessories to VELUX roof light windows - such as curtains, blinds and roller shutters of many types to provide indoor comfort and design.

Our team consists of 10 dedicated colleagues working in cross-organisational teams. 

Through our State Gate process, you will be involved in product concept to final implementation in our production.

Your tasks cover development of innovative products to existing and new business areas. In addition, you will also be involved in analysis, compile test documentation, verification of product performance and specification material.

In collaborating with our prototyping workshop, you will have the opportunity to produce physical models and prototypes making you able to construct the product according to requirements related to functionality and quality.

You will be participating in relevant seminars and fairs nationally as well as internationally.

Your qualifications
We expect you to be a mechanical engineer or maybe you have a background as a machine technician supported by solid practical construction experience. Furthermore, you have some years of experience from working with FEM strength/rigidity and CFD flow simulation.

Experience with plastic construction will definitely be a great advantage and knowledge of working with development in 3D CAD as well as experience with development of consumer products will be a plus.

You have a creative head and the ability to turn ideas into realisable solutions. It is essential, that you are truly motivated by being involved in all project phases and that you thrive working in a project culture characterised by highly professional proficiencies and cross-functional knowledge sharing.

You have a practical and analytical approach to task solving, and you take pride in being thorough and detail oriented in your work allowing you to plan your tasks and ensuring progress. You see yourself as a self-driven and independent person with a strong drive, getting your energy from working in a knowledge intensive team based on collaboration. Therefore competencies such as strong communication and collaboration skills are some of your strong qualities.

On a personal level, you have a good sense of humor and you contribute to the collaboration with an open and forthcoming nature.

As you will engage with stakeholders throughout our organisation, you must be fluent in Danish and English, both orally and in writing.
