Active involvement - from conceptual design to product validation
As senior R&D Engineer, you will be a vital player in product development projects. You will be involved in all aspects of the innovation process; from preject and product development, to being responsible for industrial design, product design and specification of products and components.

Your main responsibilities are:

Mechanical design: Plastic construction/mechanism design
Documentation and testing according to FDA and ISO
Identification of user needs through participation in prejects
Concept development

You will be working closely with colleagues from across the organisation – With our innovation teams in Malaysia and USA, with other departments involved in product development as well as with suppliers, users and knowledge centers.

Experienced medical device engineer
The position requires you to hold a bachelor’s degree or master’s degree within Mechanical Engineering or similar. We expect that you have vast knowledge of developing medical devices, and that you have solid experience with plastic and mechanical construction. The position would suit someone who has developed their skills and experience in a similar role, ideally within the medical device industry or in a consultancy that deals with the medical device field.

Furthermore, we expect you to have broad experience with:

Development of new test methods for verification of products/components
Documentation of the work according to FDA/ISO guidelines
Plastic construction and materials
Mechanics and software/hardware interaction
Development cooperation with subcontractors

To be successful in the position, it is important that you have great interpersonal skills and possess multicultural awareness and sensitivity as you will be part of a global team. As a person, you are self-motivated, committed and you have a strong sense of responsibility towards your work and you have a practical approach to things.
It is a requirement that you are fluent in oral and written English, and that you are willing to travel approximately 20 days per year.
