Overview:
We are looking for an ambitious, creative, user-focused frontend developer to help us make the web a better place! You will join our Accessibility product team. As part of this team, you will help us come up with brilliant new ways of making it easier for web managers and editors to make their websites live up to accessibility standards.
 
Web Accessibility is about allowing people with and without disabilities to have access to the information they want and need from a website. Siteimprove Accessibility gives our customers a complete overview of their site’s web accessibility issues, plus clear explanations of how they affect users, and specific recommendations on how to fix them. It is an important job, and it could become yours!
 
Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain frontend application code for our Accessibility product.
  • Work together with product owner, user experience people and graphical designers to implement nothing less of great user interfaces.
  • You join our development team and you will be touching areas like: web crawls, accessibility standards and data visualization.

Qualifications:
What we’re looking for

  • Have both practical experience and opinions on what great user experience is
  • Have experience similar to 3 years of full time software development.
  • Be outstanding with JavaScript, CSS and HTML.
  • Have built applications on top of REST services.
  • Know and closely monitor web standards from W3C.
  • Breathe life into a graphical design on your own.
  • Be fluent in spoken and written English.
  • Know how to support several brands and generations of browsers from IE9 and forwards
  • Be enthusiastic about building interfaces for people that use different kinds of assistive devices.
