Your challenges
You will be a part of the department System Engineering in the team Advanced Engineering and Simulation, which is widely diversified with high professional skills in engineering, simulation and design.

You will be involved in product development projects with simulation of product performance, robustness and design optimisation from idea to verification of final product.

Your main tasks will include:

  • Participate in concept and product development projects with advanced development engineering expertise
  • Support with FEM and CFD simulation of components and construction to secure product robustness and optimised design
  • Product Platform architecturally analysis aligned with market, product and supply strategic plans
  • Planning and coordination of analysis to evaluate new concepts, product performance and features

We work in cross-functional project teams with stakeholders from all parts of the VELUX Group as well as external partners. Being part of a global organisation you must expect 10-20 days of travel per year.

Your qualifications
We expect you to have an educational background as bachelor of engineering or master of science in engineering with a genuine interest for product development.

It is a prerequisite that you have profound knowledge of 3D Cad and possibly simulation of static and dynamic impact such as stress/stain analysis as well as mass and heat flow analysis. In addition, knowledge of Robust Design and DoE will be a plus.

You have a structured and analytical approach to task solving, and you take great pride in being thorough and detail oriented in your work. You see yourself as a self-driven and independent person with a strong drive, getting your energy from working in a knowledge intensive team based on collaboration.

On a personal level you are open minded, flexible and have a healthy sense of humor. You have the ability to take responsibility and needed initiative to make sure we deliver high quality in all solutions.

Competencies such as strong communication skills are ‘a must’, you have an open and forthcoming manner and you collaborate easily with people around you, both technicians as well as non-technicians.
As you will engage with stakeholders throughout our organisation, you must be fluent in English both orally and in writing.
