Senior Software Developer - Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery

We are the leaders in Smart Hearing Aids, which are made for iPhone® and through Bluetooth Smart Technology offer direct wireless streaming of sound from Apple IOS devices. We are continuously improving and inventing new functionality on top of this wireless technology to stay in front as the industry leaders of smart hearing aids.

Collaborate with the best - right in the sweet spot of technological innovation 
As our new CI/CD specialist, you will be part of the software department involved in development and delivery of firmware for all GN Hearing’s hearing aids and accessories. 
We work in a project-oriented development culture, using both agile and waterfall workflows. The development programs and projects are cross-functional of nature, with developers from various R&D functions and durations from months to years. The department is deeply involved in both technology and product development.

Software development maturity - further raising the bar
We are using a Continuous Integration workflow with e.g. peer reviews, automated software builds and nightly, automated test execution in actual target hardware. We want to take our practices within Continuous Integration/Delivery to the next level, to further increase software development reliability and efficiency. The main responsibilities for this position are:

  • Automation of build, unit testing and releasing
  • Automatic presentation/distribution of generated CI Information and data
  • SW releasing
  • Development and improvement of SW build systems and release processes for the embedded platforms
  • Contribute taking Continuous Integration and Delivery to the next level, bringing in best practices from the industry and help ensuring we use the right tools, technical solutions and efficient processes going forward
  • Contribute to improving and optimizing the entire SW Program integration and release processes

Skilled developer with a can-do-attitude 
You have a Master’s degree in computer science/engineering or equivalent, and you are proficient in English, both spoken and written. Additionally, you have skills and experience within several of these areas: 

  • Strong interest, technical expertise and hands-on with CI and/or CD
  • Git version control system
  • Jenkins system and plugins like job-dsl, pipeline, pipeline-multibranch etc.
  • Scripting languages, especially Python
  • Build systems, like gmake, nmake, msbuild etc.
  • Software integration and release processes
  • C and/or C# development, and associated unit test environments
  • Knowledge of groovy scripting, job-dsl and the pipeline plugin
  • Linux
  • Embedded software development
