Senior Server Specialist in Microsoft Hyper-V

IT Infrastructure Services is responsible for SimCorp’s internal IT infrastructure in a setup encompassing some 300 physical and 2000 virtual machines. SimCorp is experiencing stable market growth in our 17 subsidiaries globally. Our global server infrastructure is primarily located at our two datacenters in Denmark. SimCorp nurtures close partnerships directly with vendors such as Microsoft, VMware, HP, HDS, Citrix, and Symantec.

A key role in a global setup
The IT Infrastructure Services department includes the Server Team. All members of the team are senior technology specialists with 10 or more years’ experience.

Your key responsibilities and tasks will be:

• strategic decisions on design, vendors, and future technologies;
• participating in infrastructure projects related to your specialty and interest;
• implementing solutions based on designs together with your colleagues;
• solving incidents and problems as dispatched from second level support;
• operating and maintaining servers and server applications within your field;
• delivering consultancy and service to business and external customers.

Experienced server specialist
To succeed in this job you most likely have:

• solid experience of designing, configuring, and running Microsoft Hyper-V environments;
• a flair for troubleshooting across platforms with results to show for it;
• fluency in spoken and written English.

It would be an advantage if you also have:

• solid experience in designing, configuring, and operating Microsoft server services, as well as in on-prem and on-cloud servers in Azure and Amazon web services;
• experience in delivering services to external customers;
• experience in automation methods to reduce daily manual tasks;
• a basic understanding of ITIL or similar frameworks.
