Researcher/Software Developer, Deep Learning
To improve our products, we are exploring Deep Learning methods for analyzing large amounts of medical (dentistry) data.
3Shape develops and manufactures market-leading 3D scanners and software solutions for dentistry and audiology. We have grown from 2 to more than 700 employees world-wide in 15 years. Our products stand out because of their superior technology, as we invest heavily in Research & Development.
To improve our products, we are exploring Deep Learning methods for analyzing large amounts of medical (dentistry) data. We are taking a field which traditionally has looked at 2D images to 3D scan data. Furthermore, we will not just classify data, but also synthesize 3D shapes.
We are now looking to expand a dedicated Deep Learning team formed a few months ago. We are largely self-driven, combining much of the freedom of academia with the focus on value creation that a private company has. We do not separate applied research from software development, so you should have some background and skills in both.
Your profile:
- A bright mind as evidenced by top grades or awards
- At least a Master’s degree in a quantitative science or engineering discipline
- Experience with algorithms used within Deep Learning (theory and application)
- Software development skills, preferably C# and/or C++
- Fluency in English
- GPU programming skills would be a plus
