Skilled Java Developer with a Global Mindset

On behalf of our Client Printix, Bloom is looking for a passionate Java developer who has a great interest in start-ups. The Company was founded by experienced entrepreneurs in 2014 and already has 12 employees. Printix develops Print Management Software and their goal is to go Global within the next 1-2 years. So if you are a Java developer and would like to join Printix on their exciting journey, this might be the perfect job for you. 

Key accountabilities and activities
Printix backend runs on Linux servers on AWS and is developed in Java and Spring, using a Microservices architecture. They have a BE and FE team and you will be part of the BE Server Team, working closely with the other developers. 

Examples of tasks could be development of Business logic, integration to Office 365/Azure, crunching and analyzing large amounts of data for the FE-team and development of a billing service etc..

You are involved in the entire development process from defining the architecture in cooperation with the team, coding the solution or parts of it, bug fixing, creating unit and other automated tests and committing the improvements production. You will be responsible for the code from A-Z. 

If you have ambitions to take on process ownership, work with DevOps or develop continuous integrations, this is also possible - the role can be defined along the way and the opportunities are endless.

In printix they release code several times a day, so its important, that you are comfortable working in a continuous delivery environment. 

 Professional skills

  • You have min. 5 years of experience as a Java developer
  • You are skilled in both Linux and Spring
  • You are comfortable running the code from A-Z
  • You are used to working in an environment with Continuous delivery and integrations
  • It is an advantage if you have worked with different Cloud set-ups or SaaS in particular. 
  • It is equally an advantage if you have worked with AWS, Cassandra, Docker Image, Kubernetes, Kafka, ZooKeeper and MongoDB

Printix expects you to be passionate about the start-up business and eventually build up an understanding of the company´s journey. They are looking for a pragmatic, yet structured developer, who is a skilled communicator and enjoys working closely with other people. The art of team work is crucial to this position. It is important that you are good at organizing and prioritizing your work. It is an advantage if you are interested in creating and developing things and enjoy seeing the result of your work. You must also be eager to learn and curious regarding new technologies.
