The Onshore Electrical Team works in a very inspiring multi-cultural environment. We are an electrical group of several teams located in Denmark, Spain, India and Turkey, which you will have daily contact with.

You will be part of a team with the responsibility for all electrical areas of the wind turbine, including grid simulation, HV cable, main transformer, generator, converter and all auxiliary control cabinets. All of the areas are designed by the electrical team or in collaboration with sub-suppliers, but the electrical team always has the full system responsibility.

How to contribute to our vision

You will be responsible for EMC strategy, as well as plans for our onshore wind turbines and securing test and documentation needed to support certification. This also includes responsibility for documentation, validation and support, in collaboration with our design team.

Your solutions are characterized by an end-to end thinking, a safety and cost mindset and you know what it takes to make things work in the field.

More specifically, your assignments will be:

  • Set and implement the EMC strategy for the Onshore platform
  • Evaluate and perform EMC assessment of the complete electrical system
  • Plan and perform test needed for certification
  • Create and maintain design guides in EMC and Lightning area
  • Specifying and create technical construction files
  • Detailed design and creating technical documentation within your area of responsibility
  • Providing specialized technical support and troubleshooting in relation to the EMC and Lightning system
  • Continuous development and improvement of processes, documentation and methods required to ensure efficient and best practice design of the EMC and Lightning system
  • Technical risk assessments / Failure mode and effect analysis (FMEA)

What you need to make a difference

You have a BSc or MSc in electrical engineering, and you have experience as a EMC Specialist for technical complex systems. You can lead the test and certification process of a complete system including design, validation and production. You possess good understanding of design and manufacturing of electrical cabinets, LV cables and busbar systems. Additionally, you are familiar with the following:

  • International standards IEC61000-6-4 & IEC 61000-6-2 and best practices related to EMC
  • New Standards IEC 61400-40. Wind energy generation systems. Part 40. Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC).
  • Requirements and test methods

You are structured and innovative and your approach to problem solving is both technically sound and commercially viable. You have the ability to interface at all levels in a dynamic environment and possess strong communication and English skills both orally and in writing.

For this position, there will be approximately 20-30 travel days per year.
