Application Manager with a flair for SAP Shared Services

Would you like to lead an enterprise application management team, be part of our digital journey and deliver SAP Shared Services supporting our business strategy?

Join us and become Application Manager in the Enterprise Application Management department where you’ll be responsible for leading and developing a team of highly skilled application consultants and application architects within the field of SAP solutions across our organisation. We work closely with our IT delivery office in Warsaw, where you’ll work closely together with a counterpart heading a similar team of capabilities.

As manager in Enterprise Application Management, you’ll work closely with our business stakeholders, taking part in projects as senior supplier on behalf of our IT department, and take overall responsibility for your own application portfolio as application provider. 

You’ll be part of the management team with peer managers in Warsaw and Denmark. The management team works closely together on developing the department.

Enterprise Application Management (EAM) delivers SAP solutions through an agile set-up (SAFe). We deliver services and products in both large and small initiatives to continuously optimise our business. The EAM department is a valuable contributor in Agile Release Trains and through our own SAP Shared Service. 

Your key tasks will be to

  • ensure and deliver application management (incl. LCM) of own application portfolio
  • manage and be a great leader for the team
  •  cooperate closely with your stakeholders
  •  drive our ability to be agile and innovative (SAFe)
  •  be responsible for the IT budget and third-party vendor management.

In addition, you’ll act as senior supplier and participate in steering committees, and you’ll manage team allocation and support across the various business initiatives, projects and ARTs. You’ll participate in process improvement and excellence initiatives, you’ll create an inspiring team environment with an open communication culture, and you’ll follow up on team goals. Finally, you’ll monitor team performance in dialogue with business stakeholders.

You’ll work closely with the head of EAM on the roadmap ahead and drive the continuous learning environment, introducing and enhancing department capabilities. You’ll further handle professional application lifecycle management within your application portfolio, working on ensuring that development and maintenance roadmaps and budget plans are established across the department’s area of responsibility, in close collaboration with various stakeholders.

The key responsibility will be team leadership and capability development of the team by supporting, coaching and mentoring team members. You’ll manage the prioritisation and execution of work related to application management, maintenance and optimisation across the department by providing clear plans and ensuring implementation accordingly. You’ll ensure that applications/platforms are fully maintained and that quality management processes of the team’s activities are followed.

Your competences include that you

  •  have a relevant IT background, with a proven track record in leadership
  • have experience with agile software development
  • thrive in an international environment and have the ability to and experience in interacting with a wide variety of stakeholders at all levels of an organisation
  • master structured and timely management of team plans, budgets, targets and measures
  • have a proactive, analytical and systematic approach to your work.

Moreover, you possess a drive for succeeding with your team. Having experience with SAFe is a plus, but not a must.
