Do you love taking responsibility and are you looking for an internship where you can grow with the tasks and gain valuable learning experiences? Then you have a great opportunity in the up-and-coming startup ParkShare.

ParkShare is a fast growing startup in need of a UX/UI Designer Intern who can help us improve our User Experience in general as well as our User Interface Design. We are looking for a creative and customer-focused intern with a curiosity to learn. Working in a startup can be both challenging and thrilling as things are moving quickly. At the same time, you get to share the passion, motivation and optimism that comes from improving the User Experience with your colleagues. In ParkShare, we strongly believe in everyone contributing and having ideas with value. Therefore, you can expect that the ideas and improvements you have will actually be valued and used to create a better platform. Here, your work becomes reality and will actually be used by the users.

ParkShare is a sharing economy platform for parking spaces, where private people as well as companies, can rent out their parking spaces when they don’t need it and thereby earn an extra income. At the same time, the parking spaces become more easily accessible for drivers, who need parking. The UX/UI Intern will therefore be essential in ParkShare in order to ensure our customers have the best possible experience when using our product.

Tasks and responsibilities:

  • Enhance and strengthen the overall User Experience ParkShare’s customers have with its interfaces.
  • Improve ParkShare’s website, web- and native-app User Interface (UI) Design. This includes enhancing the look and feel as well as the users’ ease of navigating it.
  • Doing user research, creating user personas, wireframes and prototypes, as well as doing user testing.
  • Create mockups and work with our developer team.
  • If you have an interest in programming, this can also be included in the internship, but it’s not a requirement.

Qualifications and skills:

  • A general knowledge and understanding about Front-end Development, web- and native-applications is needed. Any knowledge and skills beyond this will be a plus but is not required.
  • Adaptability and problem-solving skills as well as a creative and customer-focused mindset to be able to spot areas of improvement to create a better User Experience for our customers.
  • Independent and good social skills. There will be many individual tasks that still involves a lot of teamwork with different departments, so it’s important that you thrive in these conditions.
  • Confident in English, as ParkShare is an international workplace so the main language we speak here is English.
  • Studying a degree with an emphasis on UX/UI Design or Interactive Design.
  • Living in Denmark as the office is in Aarhus and the internship will take place here.

We are located in The Kitchen in Aarhus, which is the city’s biggest community for entrepreneurs, where we work alongside with many other amazing startups. It’s an international and diverse workplace, where knowledge-sharing, networking and fun is an essential part of work life. Every Friday we have a joint breakfast with the other startups from ‘The Kitchen’ to catch up and hygge together. Teamwork and team spirit are also very important in ParkShare. Therefore, we have at least one social activity every month, where we spend a couple of hours to have fun with games, hygge and snacks.  We believe, this makes us a stronger and more connected team.

Working hours are generally from 8-16 o’clock, but we are flexible in terms of hours per week and will adjust it to your study program’s schedule. This also means that if you already have a student job, we will work with you to find a schedule that fits it all.
