At Jabra, UX is about understanding the core user needs and combining these with business capabilities and insights from R&D. In other words, we turn business targets and UX insights into tangible requirements and designs.

Become our next UX expert at Jabra

In UX, we work in different domains such as Device, Comfort and Collaboration. Ideally, you will become part of our Collaboration domain, where you will be part of a cross-functional team designing great audio- and video devices. As the user needs and thereby requirements for such products are different from a regular headset, we need your competencies to ensure a continuous successful user experience of our Collaboration devices.

As a UX expert, you are actively seeking feedback, and you are easy-going and curious. You know that product making is a big machine with many viewpoints and stakeholders, and you maneuver through these with a conscious choice of methods and by distinguishing personal taste from professional opinions.

You easily keep an overview of the big picture as well as the finer details, understanding why they are important and how everything ties together. Lastly, you can explain your reasoning, accept a challenge, and make decisions.

As an experienced UX Designer at Jabra, you will be responsible for:

Designing product interface concepts and interaction points – based on your research and input from stakeholders, you will define how the user shall interact with- and use the product in one or several situations

Building and testing product mock-ups/prototypes – it is important that you test and validate your assumptions and furthermore, clearly communicate your findings to key stakeholders

Defining design requirements – this is where you detail the product and based on your great communication skills you ensure alignment with disciplines such as Product Management, Software, Mechanics, etc.

Enhancing the UX Department’s competencies – we strive to become even better at creating valuable and desirable devices to the user but also internal stakeholders in the organization. To do this, we focus on our knowledge base (the UX Backbone) identifying and solving items that will enhance our knowledge within the UX discipline

And one more thing: Everyone in the UX department has a professional edge where they lift the whole team. In your application, please let us know what your edge is (i.e. how do you see your T-shape?).

We expect you to have:

Proven experience working in a UX role – this is a senior-level position, so proven experience in a UX role or similar is very important. It is important for us that you know and trust your own toolbox and is highly self-driven, yet very involving, when assigned a task

Problem-solving aptitude – you will be faced with many interesting challenges, and its important that you have the right mindset to process each of them

Flair for mechatronics – you will be a vital part of defining the user’s overall interaction with the device, which is why you need to have a good understanding of all the parameters that needs to be specified seen from the user’s perspective

Understanding of product development stages – having an overall understanding of a general product development process, e.g. from idea to a final product launched on the market
