Test baker, Baking Applications, Lyngby, DK
We are looking for an innovative and result-oriented test baker to drive and support our research within the area of baking applications. You will join our dynamic team of test bakers, research associates and scientists making up the department of Baking Applications.
As test baker you will be involved in the development of new enzyme-based solutions for the baking industry. Your tasks will include testing new enzyme solutions in baked goods (primarily bread, cakes and biscuits), optimization and development of industrial relevant test systems, evaluation of raw materials and participation in educating visitors about our biological solutions.
In your daily work you will work in close collaboration with your colleagues in technical service, marketing, and external partners as well as independently. Reporting and documentation of results are important parts of the work.
Furthermore, you are interested in working in a global environment and turning ideas and technology into solutions. You like to handle several tasks at a time while still being systematic and have sense of details. You have a “just do it attitude” and are happy to take the initiative when needed, have a good sense of humor and enjoy working as part of a team.
The position is based at our new Innovation Center in Lyngby, Denmark, on local employment terms.
In this position you need to:
- Hold an education as baker and preferably supplemented with a food technologist education
- Have experience in recipe optimization of baked goods preferably from working in industrial bakery or test baking unit
- Be comfortable with working on frequently changing tasks and projects and possess good oral and written English skills
- Have experience in reporting and documentation of results in English
- Have user knowledge of MS Office software package (especially Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
- Have a proactive, optimistic, passionate and adaptable mindset
- Be a pronounced team player
