As a skilled test engineer, you have the drive to contribute to our Test and Verification team. You will be a member of our fast-growing Global Innovation team located at our headquarters in Ballerup. We focus on developing new products and processes that combine several technologies in a new and innovative way.

Ambu is an international and highly innovative company in rapid growth. We develop, produce and sell medical devices that enable doctors and nurses to save lives on a daily basis.

In this newly established and challenging position, you will be an important contributor in the innovation teams taking a role as test and verification engineer securing our ongoing dedication to quality products. You will take part in development of our future exciting anesthesia products and secure the future success of Ambu in the interest of our users.

Your role in our team
As Test and Verification Engineer you will participate in product development projects from early prototype development to launch of new products. Your focus will be on the portfolio within Anesthesia. In the projects, you will be responsible for defining the performance and safety requirements for our products and find ways of testing them. Many of our test activities are either performed at our own manufacturing plants or at external test partners. It is therefore important that you can lead these test activities in a global setting.  

Furthermore, you will have the opportunity to develop and validate new test methods in a global project organization.

You will be part of a testing team that handles test within many different technical areas, e.g. electrical, software, image processing and mechanical testing. As your focus will be on developing and testing equipment for airway management, ventilation, and training, you must have the curiosity and willingness to learn about airway physiology, and how medical equipment is used in a clinical setting.

As a natural part of your work, you will also be responsible for documentation according to FDA and ISO standards.

Your background
Preferably, you hold a Master or Bachelor’s degree in engineering or another relevant degree. The position can be offered as a senior position or as a more junior position if you have relevant experiences but as a minimum we expect you to have 3 years of relevant professional experience within a similar role in a regulated industry. If you have knowledge within fluid mechanics it will be an advantage but it is not a requirement

Ambu is a fast-growing global company and it is important that you thrive in a constantly changing organization and that you can manage test and verification activities in a global setup. 

It is an advantage if you also have experience within one or more of the following topics: design control for medical devicesnd/or statistical methods.

As a person, you need to be highly analytical and be able to translate user needs as well as medical device standards into Ambu settings. It is important that you take ownership of your tasks and are well-structured and good at handling complexity while having a positive and constructive attitude.

It is a requirement that you can communicate on a high level in English both verbally and in writing. You also need to be prepared to travel approximately 10 days per year, primarily to our manufacturing site in Xiamen, China.
