Your challenges
As technical project manager in the Technology Department you will be responsible for leading the way for the development technical solutions focusing on a range of different material technologies relevant to the development of our products with the VELUX roof window as our core product.

You will be responsible for a project team with participants form various parts of the Technology and Product Development department, and as needed you will also involve our internal materials specialists, external consultants and suppliers.

As responsible for development of new technologies that can feed in to end products, you have deep knowledge and interest in the technical part and ability to make the necessary decisions within this area.

Your main tasks will be to:

  • Lead, facilitate and coordinate project activities in the project team so you jointly create results and technology concepts of high quality
  • Be in charge of project planning, stakeholder management, forecasting and budgeting, including continuously updating the business case
  • Be support to material specialists in planning and structuring the assignments according to the overall project plan
  • Secure focus on the technical aspects as well as on the business potential of new technology concepts
  • Motivate and inspire the team to reach milestones and keep deadlines as well as ensuring collaboration and handling conflicts in a constructive manner
  • Ensure that the new technology lives up to quality requirements and high VELUX standards
  • Be responsible for presenting project status for steering groups.

You must expect to travel around 10-20 days per year both in Denmark and abroad. Some flexibility in regards to travel and meeting times is required.

Your qualifications
You probably have a technical background as Engineer or equivalent combined with 3-5 years of experience as Technical Project Manager in a large organisation. You have material knowledge within one or more of the following fields metal, polymer, glue, foam, sealants or similar. Additionally, we expect you to be well-founded within one or more core material category; Metals, glue, insulating materials, plastics or composites.

You have a structured and analytical approach to your work and you can handle several projects at a time, while prioritizing your efforts optimally. Also, you are good at planning taking all unknown factors into consideration.

You communicate and collaborate easily with the people around you - both internally and externally from various cultures - and you acknowledge that the foundation of successful teamwork is based on collaboration and knowledge sharing.

You have a strong drive, getting your energy from short deadlines and achieving results in close collaboration with colleagues from different parts of the organisation. You dare to challenge the existing in a solution oriented way and always with a focus on how to create value for the business.

You have strong communication skills in English, both orally and in writing.
