As a team manager, you will be leading the people in our Dairy Application Centre (APC Dairy), Skanderborg and set the direction for a key function in charge of processing plants for the dairy industry. Take charge of your team
Based at our office in Skanderborg, you will be leading your growing team of technical sales people, engineers and project managers. Here, you will use your managerial and technical understanding to support them in their task and your leadership skills to motivate them to do their best. You will make sure the team grows and evolves, and as such, your tasks include:

  • Achieving targets for Order Intake, Sales and Gross Margin
  • Leadership growth and development
  • Day-to-day time management
  • Hiring of new staff
  • Ensuring mandatory job-related training
  • Performing annual appraisals
  • Approving holidays, travel-related transactions and dealing with disciplinary issues 

Ensure the success of the projects
The team is involved in the business of  dairy process plant projects from the initial sale through execution and construction to final delivery, and your task is to ensure on-time deliverables that meet the expected quality and budgets. Therefore, you will need to tackle the breath of competences, across the value chain such as sales, engineering disciplines and project management tasks. Doing so, you will work closely with internal stakeholders including Regions and Countries Sales, Supply Chain and our Technology Centre. You will also maintain a close relationship with the local business development manager to plan and manage contributions for quotations and to ensure good customer relations.

Your Profile / Qualifications

You will take on an exciting position, joining us at a time, where we are restructuring our organisation and focusing on bringing management closer to the staff. This means that you get to be instrumental in shaping the team from the get-go. Joining a project-based environment, you will also collaborate, confer and share information with colleagues throughout GEA and cooperate closely with peers in the managerial team in Skanderborg.

Technical profile with an aptitude for leadership
You understand the importance of leadership and have already proven your worth in a similar managerial position. Your interpersonal skills are honed to perfection, enabling you to both manage and influence internal stakeholders, customer relationships and not to mention your team.

Moreover, we imagine that you:

  • Hold a relevant degree in e.g. mechanical engineering
  • Have some project management experience, preferably from an international setting
  • Have at least 3 years of experience managing a team
  • Understand financial management systems and have experience in budget management                                        
  • Are fully proficient in English
