The position is based in Support Structures (tower and foundations) and you will report to the Head of System Integration within this area. The Support Structure area includes, besides this department, the departments for PM’s, Loads, Primary Structures Design and Secondary Structures Design. In the department of System Integration, the system needed to configure and complete specific projects - both Execution & NPD (New Product Development) are integrated. The complete system consists of input and modules from the departments described in above and includes fulfilment of project specific requirements. The department is divided into three teams: Project Integration, Master Data & Support and Design Verification. Your responsibility will be heading the team of Project Integration located in Vejle, Denmark.

As Team Lead for Project Integration you will be leading a team of highly technical Lead Engineers with main focus on secondary structure. The size of the team is 15-20 people - both internal employees and externals consultants - and their educational background is mainly mechanical engineering. Your team is responsible for delivering the final project specific design and are involved from the early sales phase to design completion.

The task of Lead Engineers covers contract reviews, customer meetings, scoping towards other departments and close follow up and reviews with relevant stakeholders. The main focus of the team is to support the overall strategy of making use of available standard modules (from the department of secondary structure) and on reducing project specific work to a minimum. As both the department and the team are newly established you would need to secure that all our Lead Engineers have the best conditions to fulfil our common goal. This, among other things, by setting the direction according to department strategy, securing that the right processes are in place and by leading, managing and mentoring. A large part of the role is also to secure that the team has clear agreements towards internal and external stakeholders such as Sales and department dealing with new product introductions.

How to contribute to our vision
As Team Lead for Project Integration you will have the responsibility to ensure that your team can reach all targets in a proper working environment as well as team coordination and planning incl. forecasting of competence needs to cover future portfolio and maximize utilization of resources.

In this role you will pro-actively be taking part in our continuous improvements and developing new tools, processes and procedures needed, making roadmaps for activities to meet overall strategy for your team and clear agreements towards other teams and stakeholders.

Your assignments will also cover but not be limited to:

  • Manhour budgets for standard tasks and project specific solutions
  • Secure processes for work done within and out of the team are defined
  • Making sure deadlines within the team are kept and needed information is shared to relevant stakeholders
  • One to on dialogues with team members
  • Continuous employee feedback and performance management
  • Onboarding of new employees

What you need to make a difference
Passion for renewable energy and a sense for the importance to lead the change.

The ideal candidate has a degree in Engineering or similar combined with relevant experience, preferably combined with +5 years of relevant experience within the Offshore or Wind Power industry

You have strong leading skills and honor continuous development of individual employees and you have experience in managing people as well as a strong technical background.

You are familiar with engineering disciplines associated with the design of wind turbines

It feels natural for you to take the lead in complex tasks with many stakeholders and you are used to defining and improving business-related processes and

As a person you:

  • are positive, proactive, motivating and innovative, and you have a systematic and quality-oriented approach as well as the ability to keep an overview even under pressure
  • are structured and pragmatic in your way of dealing with issues and challenges
  • thrive in setting the structure rather that the structure is set for you
  • enjoy working in an international environment and possess excellent English skills both orally and in writing
