To support our continuous growth, we are currently looking for a talented and experienced Team Lead with excellent people management skills as well as technical project management skills and the capability of managing a team of highly skilled and engaged Engineering Managers.

The position is, organizational vise, based in “Support Structures” (SUS) in Offshore Engineering and you will report to the Head of the Project Management Organization (PMO) within this area. The Support Structure area includes, besides the PMO department, the departments for Loads, Primary Structures Design (for tower and foundations) and Secondary Structures Design (for tower and foundation). The PMO department is divided into two teams covering our Sales- and Execution Projects as well as our New Product Development Projects - your responsibility will be to head the Sales- and Execution part.

As Team Lead for Sales- and Execution Projects within SUS you will be leading our highly dedicated Engineering Managers, who drive and manage the part involving all departments within SUS in individual big scale projects from contract signature to final takeover of the wind farm. As we aim for fire-prevention rather than fire-fighting, you would need to secure that all our Engineering Managers have the best conditions for delivering as promised and in the same way securing that synergies across projects are considered. Together with the PMO Head you set the direction, define the strategy and further optimize the deliverables of your team.

About the role
As Team Lead within the SUS PMO department you will make sure your team is capable to reach all targets in a proper working environment. You will lead, manage and mentor your team as well as have regular 1:1 dialogues with all team members and onboard new employees.

An important part of your job will be team coordination and planning (in corporation with PMO planner) incl. forecasting of competence needs to cover future project portfolio. You will maximize utilization of resources and pro-actively taking part in our continuous improvements and developing new tools, processes and procedures needed. You will be approaching knowledge sharing across projects to ensure continuous improvement.

It is important that deadlines within the team are kept and needed information is shared with relevant stakeholders – and you will make sure that this happens.

You will be responsible for the monthly KPI reporting for ongoing projects

About you

You are positive, proactive, motivating and innovative and you have a systematic and quality-oriented approach as well as the ability to keep an overview even under pressure. You are structured and pragmatic in your way of dealing with issues and challenges - and you love the fun and the challenge in the race of building some of the largest offshore wind farms in the world!

To be successful in this role you preferable:

  • have 10+ years’ experience in Project Management / Program Management maybe combined with relevant experience within the Offshore or Wind Power industry. A degree in Engineering or similar will be beneficial
  • have strong leadership skills and honor continuous improvement of individual employees
  • have experience in managing people and you have a strong technical background
  • are familiar with engineering disciplines associated with the design of wind turbines
  • are used to defining and improving business-related processes and it feels natural for you to take the lead in complex tasks with many stakeholders
  • enjoy working in an international environment and possess excellent English skills both orally and in writing
