With any IT issues, questions and needs that may arise in our offices in Denmark, Norway, Sweden and Finland, the Eastern support team in Hørsholm is there to solve it by providing excellent support. 

Are you ready to lead and further develop a team that is crucial to keeping our IT set up running smoothly? And would you like to get involved with exciting new IT security projects too?

Your challenges
Joining us in our headquarters in Hørsholm, you take the lead of the Eastern support team, which is one of the 4 IT support teams within our IT Cluster Scandinavia. 

The team consists of 8 highly proficient IT specialists. Together, we provide mainly 1st line support to VELUX colleagues in factories, warehouses, technology and product development functions as well as for administrative departments. In Hørsholm, many instances will be handled on-site while issues in Søborg, Oslo or Helsingborg are handled primarily through phone and mail. 

As the team lead, you will be responsible for managing, further developing and coaching your team to ensure the best performance and service delivery. You will likewise be involved in larger, sometimes global, projects to ensure an optimal IT set up and infrastructure that meets the need of the VELUX Group as we expand and evolve. 

”Right now, we are planning an international implementation of new security systems and protocols, which you will help bring to life. And with our factories becoming increasingly digital, there will also be many interesting tasks that you and the team can help solve,” explains Ole Allan, Senior Manager of IT Cluster Scandinavia.

Specifically, you will:

  • Further develop and coach your team, which includes conducting 1-on-1 performance reviews, planning courses, recruiting new colleagues, etc.
  • Monitor team performances and take corrective action when needed
  • Support IT-related processes such as escalations, complex 2nd and 3rd lines support issues, etc. 
  • Ensure compliance with security protocols and other guidelines
  • Manage team budgets

Your qualifications
Your people skills are central to succeeding in this position. You know what good service delivery is all about, and you know how to motivate the team to provide it and put forth their best performance each and every day. As the team lead, you are ready to be the face of the team towards the rest of the VELUX Group and interact positively with colleagues regardless of their position, location and IT knowledge. You are likewise excited at the prospect of developing your team and motivating them to perform their best.

Furthermore, you:

  • Have a couple of years of experience with both IT and people management, potentially from a service desk or front office function or similar 
  • Possess broad IT knowledge - a degree in IT would be a great advantage
  • Speak and write fluently in both Danish and English
  • Are flexible and able to travel approximately 15-20 days per year to collaborate with colleagues and participate in larger projects
