Who are we?

We in the configuration team operate globally together with the core of the technical engineering team also located in Søborg, where GEA has its largest Nordic office with more than 600 employees.

The vacancy is in the team, Engineering IT, which is part of GEA IT, where we among many other tasks, maintain, support and develop internally used web applications in a blended team of 24 specialists, that works with CAD/PDM applications as well as Configuration and software development.

Most of the software developed and supported in the team, is across GEA organization at several locations. The developer team within Engineering IT is small and focused, so you will be collaborating really close with your colleagues.

We are in the process of moving all our applications, databases and services towards the Azure Cloud and the Oracle Cloud as part of the overall IT strategy.

Responsibilities / Tasks

The main duties and responsibilities will be to monitor, support, maintain and develop web applications internally used to support our Product Configuration tool. Prepare project activities and estimate the necessary detailed implementation efforts. It is expected that you implement and identify activities and functionality during analysis, design, configuration and documentation right up to completion of all test phases and technical deployment. 

You will participate in the solution documentation phases and roll-out. You will identify requirements for data synchronization while communicating with the business and act as support to the business when needed. Very little or no travel days per year. 

Your Profile / Qualifications

We preferably see a candidate with several years of experience as a full stack developer with skills that also comprise development and maintenance of small desktop tools and add-ons to CAD programs. 

Furthermore you could have experience with applications developed to support technical engineering. It would be a huge plus if you have experience with Configuration in an engineering organization. 

You should thrive working in a small group with a high degree of cooperation and know how to communicate change successfully in a global organization.  

We expect that you have experience with the following:

  • Javascript and frameworks

Your key personal competencies 

You are passionate and curious about technology and possess a focused and analytic drive to proactively seek solutions when faced with challenges. You have strong communicative skills - in English and preferably also in Danish that you use to interact, communicate and present sometimes complex information to both specialist as well as non-technical colleagues and stakeholders. If you don’t know Danish it is expected that you start learning it on the job. 

You are comfortable with maintaining existing applications as well as developing new and modernizing existing applications.
