Supplier Quality Engineer

For our Headquarter in Hillerød, we are looking for a new Supplier Quality Engineer - an experienced expert with in depth knowledge and interest in manufacturing processes, who enjoys working on a practical level interacting with FOSS colleagues as well as our suppliers.We are working in an exciting, challenging and developing environment with highly skilled and motivated colleagues in multidisciplinary projects.

The job
FOSS develops and produces state of the art analytical instruments for analysis of milk, meat, grain, wine and more. Our instruments combine sophisticated flow systems and mechanical features with state of the art electronics, optics and SW.

For the job as Supplier Quality Engineer, you will be reporting to the Quality Manager in Denmark and be part of our quality team, who continuously ensure the quality and performance in both the existing products and in the new products.

You will be responsible for supporting the manufacturing sites with the more challenging quality issues that arise. You will work in close cooperation with your colleagues in Quality, Sourcing and R&D as well as very competent suppliers to secure reliable products and a predictable production at FOSS and with our suppliers.

The job includes planning and execution of process improvement including visits at our local and global suppliers.

Furthermore, in cooperation with Global Sourcing, you will be an active participant when there is a need for changing to a new supplier as well as supporting the approval process of new suppliers. 

Primary tasks

• Secure that new parts introduced have a high process capability considering the specification limits together with R&D, Project Sourcing and our supplier.
• Cooperate with our suppliers to develop and improve quality and production processes.
• Solve supplier quality issues linked to supplier processes in close cooperation with Quality and our IQC department and the supplier.
• Supporting Global Sourcing with improvements of quality, supply chain and cost optimization projects.
• Be the technical expert internally and externally.
• Execute supplier assessments when needed.

Qualifications
We are looking for a person with extensive experience within sheet metal processing, aluminum casting, surface treatment, mechanical machining and injection moulding. Expect to learn other special processes as we are using a variety of product categories and processes in our products.

It will be considered an advantage if you have a degree within a technical area and practical experience in production. You should have a solid understanding of measurement techniques. Experience from cooperation with both domestic and global suppliers. Experience with suppliers in Asia and Eastern Europe is considered an advantage.It is a prerequisite that you are comfortable speaking and writing English.
