Oral Formulation Research consists of 24 dedicated and enthusiastic colleagues from 11 different nationalities. Our shared ambition is to develop new formulation concepts for oral proteins and peptides delivery, and our tasks comprise of R&D activities within formulation of solid dosage forms and oral devices technology, solid state characterisation, biophysics & analysis. We work together with both industry and academic partners as well as with several areas of Novo Nordisk including Global Drug Discovery, Device R&D, CMC and other.

The position

As intern within oral protein and peptide delivery your main objective will be to focus on developing innovative oral drug delivery devices. In specific contribute to the formulation, engineering, prototyping, and evaluation of novel oral device concepts as part of an interdisciplinary project team. The team comprises a diverse mix of competencies spanning across multiple natural sciences and engineering disciplines as well as our R&D organization.

• Internship period: 6 months
• Working hours: Flexible (min. 18 and max. 37 hours a week)
• Start date: 01 April 2020
• Internships are remunerated, if your educational track allows
• A Danish full time work permit is required

Qualifications
We are looking for young talents to join our team. Preferably, you are currently studying to obtain a MSc degree in pharmaceutical sciences, engineering or other relevant discipline. You have knowledge of oral dosage forms covering pharmaceutical formulation expertise including characterisation and analysis. Alternatively, you are knowledgeable in the field of medical device design and engineering. As a person, you are outgoing with a strong personal drive and dedication. Your strong interpersonal skills assist you in creating trustfulrelations across professions and geography, and you bring a healthy sense of humour to your work even when the pressure is on. We expect you to be service minded, that you thrive in a busy environment and great at focusing on solutions and opportunities.
