Student with flair for Azure DevOps to support Novo Nordisk Global IT Operations

About the department

The position is based in GITO - an area with 200+ employees distributed across more than 25 countries, managing our infrastructure operations and digital workplace services.

The GITO Strategy and Transformation department is a team of highly skilled and dedicated people, responsible for defining the global infrastructure strategy and implementing related products and activities. As a department, we have a strong focus on teamwork and collaboration, we are setting the direction in working with agile deliveries and coaching agile delivery teams, and we are embracing new ideas on how to successfully deliver and introduce new ways of working. We are right now on a journey applying agile ways of working in our organisation, and our work will be delivered according to the SAFe framework with agile teams running iterations. The department works closely with our business owners to understand and adapt to changing business needs.

The position

The main responsibility of the department is to support the agile delivery and cultural change in GITO. As a student in the department your role will be to support all staff members in the Agile PMO (APMO) but especially our PI Facilitators with planning and executing our PI planning events every 10 weeks. You will also be the go-to-person when optimising and lean our different planning tools. We are using Azure DevOps and kendis.io.

The position is 20 hours per week - with the flexibility in exam period.

Qualifications

As a student APMO we expect that your agile toolbox is good on a theoretical level, and you know the SAFe methodology.

You are in the last years of your bachelor’s degree or in the beginning of your master’s degree in business, IT or another relevant field and maybe you have some experience working with Agile. You are a team player and can build relationships with colleagues and stakeholders naturally. You have a drive, the ability to work independently and thrive in a busy and global environment where priorities change, and fast decisions are expected to be executed.

We expect that you have a technical interest and experience in Azure DevOps support the organisation with the knowledge needed. Experience in Microsoft Office products like Excel, PowerPoint and Word is required. It is a plus if you know the query language SQL, but it is not required.

As student in GITO we also expect that you are in dialogue with the main Agile Transformation Office in Novo Nordisk coordinating and sharing knowledge around the use of Azure DevOps.

Fluency in both written and spoken English is a pre-requisite.
