In the department Site Support & Improvements we are looking for a Student Assistant for the data science team.

About the department

Site Support and Improvements support our global production sites manufacturing diabetes products. A key asset in the department is having high level of product knowledge and process understating to give the best possible support. The department also sets the direction for new technology, innovation and production optimisations.The department consists of highly engaged chemists, statisticians, project managers, laboratory technicians and specialists, that all work closely together. You will join a team of five statisticians and nine Project Managers that delivers highly specialised expertise to the production sites.

The position

As a student assistant in DFP Improvement Projects and Data Science, you will assist in handling statistical tasks. You will be working in close collaboration with colleagues of other areas of expertise, focusing on understanding their problems, analysing data and communicating the statistical results. Depending on the level of qualifications you will be guided more or less by the statisticians in the team. You will also take part in developing instructions and guidance documents on various statistical methods. The statistical tools used are mainly Design of Experiments, Normal Mixed Models, Statistical Process Control, Acceptance Sampling, Generalised Linear Models and General Explorative Statistics.

Qualifications

You are currently halfway through your studies in Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering or other relevant scientific education. You must be able to work independently, thrive in a busy environment and be curious. As a person you have a strong drive and dedication. You enjoy handling various tasks at the same time, work in a structured way and have a sharp eye for details. Experience with SAS for Windows, JMP or Python is an advantage but not a requirement; furthermore excellent language skills in both Danish and English are required.

  • We expect you to work 10-15 hours per week but naturally we show flexibility in busy periods.
  • Employment is scheduled to begin on 1st of September 2020 or according to agreement.
