Data Engineer Student Assistant to join Customer Insights Department

At Grundfos, we work hard to solve the world’s water and climate issues. And in our Customer Insights Department, we are looking for a skilled student assistant to help us serve our customers better and become even more digital and data-driven than we are today.

As our new student assistant on Data & Analytics in Customer Insights, you will be working with many dedicated colleagues and other student assistants. At the same time you will join our global community of people working with data, analytics and AI. So if you like data and you would like to get hands-on experience with technologies such as R, Python, SQL, Azure, Azure Data Factory, Databricks, Machine Learning, and Power BI, this job might be the perfect match for you.

To excel in your job we imagine that you are about to enroll on a master's degree in, for example, statistics, computer science, software development, business intelligence, or another data-oriented education. You must also have a strong desire to learn new stuff and be a good collaborator.

Some of the tasks you'll be assigned are:

  • Building and maintaining data pipelines for our standardized data layer
  • Maintaining machine learning pipelines built by your data science colleagues
  • Making our data “FAIR”
  • Helping your colleagues connect to data so they can do awesome analysis themselves
  • Doing data analysis yourself to support the decision-making process of management and other colleagues
  • Documenting your work

We expect you to work 10-20 hours a week on average outside the exam season. During exams, we also understand that your focus will change. In addition it is also OK to work from home some of the time.

To be proficient in your job we imagine that you:

  • Have a basic understanding of databases and SQL
  • Have some understanding of extracting data via Web API’s
  • Are familiar with a high-level programming language such as Python and R
  • Have a basic understanding of data modeling and data security

The above skill requirements are not strict. That means that if you lack some of them, this can be compensated with a strong desire to learn how to work with data from a practical point of view. If you identify yourself with this description and/or have questions feel free to contact Senior Data Scientist in Customer Insights, Kasper K. Christensen at 24 98 49 96.

We will be recruiting until the right candidate has been found.
