Your role and responsibilities
In this role, you will be responsible to support venture investments for the largest business area in ABB, Electrification. ABB Electrification is electrifying the world in a safe, smart and sustainable way as a global technology leader in electrical distribution and management. You will focus on supporting deal flow, investment processes and portfolio management activities. Your responsibilities: • Participate in due diligence of potential investments with special focus on financial valuations and business plan evaluations for technology companies. • Conduct deal flow sourcing based on investment themes and division priorities. • Support preparation of investment proposals and collaboration with relevant businesses to explore interest and strategic fit. • Support the appropriate handling of the valuation of investments over time and quarterly reporting of portfolio companies. • Contribute to ad-hoc and cross-functional projects relating to Electrification Ventures.
Qualifications for the role
- In the process of completing a bachelor’s degree or in the first year of a master’s degree in business or engineering from a leading institution with top results in relevant subjects.
- Preferably relevant experience from student positions or internships in corporate development/venturing, VC funds, M&A, consultancy, tech startups or similar.
- Expertise in financial modelling, valuations and business plan analysis – experience in analyzing business plans of growth companies would be a plus.
- Interest in the journey of electrifying the world through technology and innovation.
- Creative, energetic, self-motivated, flexible team player with an ability to work independently and solid analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Demonstrated ability to work in cross-cultural teams and to engage with global colleagues.

You will work from an office in central Copenhagen at Matrikel 1, a community for start-ups and investors, where your manager and a colleague are also based. In ABB Electrification Ventures, you will be part of a global team of 8, and you will report to Head of Ventures Mads Møller.
