Software Automation Engineer

We are looking to hire one or two skilled software automation engineers with a Pythonic mindset, an urge to learn new things and an undaunted attitude towards challenges. Phase One is in a period of growth and amongst many other things we are looking to expand our team of software automation experts. Our company is developing top-tier hardware and software for capturing and processing professional and industrial images.
 
The Phase One Automation Team is a newly established R&D team, which currently consists of two EEs/programmers. The team has a wide range of interfaces and deliverables across Phase One.

The primary focus is development of automation tools and frameworks for software test, firmware test and production/service. Furthermore, we are involved with data extraction and business intelligence.
 
The position
You will be part of the Phase One R&D department in Copenhagen. The work will primarily be within a smaller team but will also involve cooperation with other teams both in Copenhagen and around the world.
 
You will be collaborating closely with other software developers, QA/Test and other departments in an open and supportive working environment. Through your work with software automation, you will also help in driving our growing data and business intelligence solutions.
 
There is a possibility to work with diverse tasks in the following areas:

• Development of automation software with an emphasis on testability, maintainability, reusability and robustness
• Delivering frameworks and tools, which will help others in the company with automating tasks
• Data collection, transformation and processing
• Data visualization and dashboards
• Production related automation tasks

Qualifications
We are looking for a candidate with a solid background in software engineering.
Preferably you are used to working with open-source libraries and understand both the possibilities and the pitfalls. You enjoy collaboration and have a dynamic as well as structured approach to work.

• Expertise in Python and various libraries
• Software automation
• Unit testing experience
• Source control management and continuous delivery tools (e.g. Git, Jenkins, Bitbucket, Bamboo)
• Solid understanding of all software development phases
• Passionate and innovative
• Open and good at communicating

It will be an advantage if you have knowledge or interest in some of the following areas:

• Machine learning
• Data processing
• Digital Image Processing
• Photography
• Agile development

• SQL Server and SSIS
