Site Investigation Project Manager

Would you like the opportunity to use your engineering background to play a key role in the project management of large and complex site investigation activities?

Join us and become Project Manager in Site Investigations Project Management where you’ll be responsible for portfolio managing and project managing site investigations for the development of our offshore wind farms and when preparing for the construction of new farms.

You’ll start with 9-12 months of maternity cover for the Site Investigations Programme Manager in our product line. Working as Programme Manager during this period, you’ll have the daily responsibility for managing our portfolio of geophysical and geotechnical surveys, including managing the continuous improvement of the standardisation and development of technical solutions. After the maternity cover period, you’ll be managing site investigation activities as Project Manager. You’ll have the daily responsibility for managing a dedicated team of specialists across different time zones and for carrying out several geophysical and geotechnical surveys, from preparing tender documents to conducting contract negotiations and handling risk management. You’ll also handle internal project management reporting for our projects.

Your key tasks as Programme Manager will be to

• manage product line projects and a project team, develop key project management documents and project management plans according to PMI frameworks
• develop detailed planning of levers in product line projects and roadmaps
• align milestones and deliverables with asset projects and co-develop project baseline agreements with the asset projects
• develop and manage sourcing strategies for Site Investigations’ key activities and deliver agreed contracts to the asset projects
• assess the impact of pipeline changes and perform integrated change control management.

Your key tasks as Project Manager will be to

• develop and manage Site Investigations’ strategy for asset projects
• manage Site Investigations’ tenders and contract negotiations in close cooperation with the product line
• manage projects related to geotechnical and geophysical surveys
• manage Site Investigations’ risks, scope, time and costs on asset projects according to PMI frameworks
• liaise with internal and external stakeholders on a regular basis.

In connection with the execution of projects, it’ll be your responsibility to ensure a successful and effective dialogue with your colleagues and our business partners outside the organisation, including contractors and colleagues within QHSE functions.

Your competences include that you

• have a relevant engineering degree or equivalent
• have solid experience with project management of several, ideally complex, projects
• speak and write English fluently, as we operate in an international environment
• have excellent communication skills, enabling you to communicate efficiently with your stakeholders
• are motivated by professional challenges and enjoy working in a decision-orientated business, where you share your expertise with your colleagues.

Furthermore, it’s an advantage, though not a requirement, if you have knowledge of offshore geoscience. Finally, you’re able to manage your own tasks while collaborating closely with colleagues, stakeholders and other partners.
