Siemens Gamesa are looking for commercially experienced Product Managers to join the Product Lifecycle Management team within our Service division. Siemens Gamesa is a world leader in the design, manufacture, installation and maintenance of wind turbines, and this role represents an opportunity to take your career to the next level within our dynamic organization.

Siemens Gamesa believes passionately in creating a great place to work and offers a wide variety of benefits to our employees. Our ‘FlexAgility’ work approach includes the possibility to work from home days for many colleagues, and our diverse staff includes people from over 70 countries.

About the role
As product manager you will be overall responsible for a group of service products within the portfolio of services. You will have cradle to grave ownership of the design, strategic position, and performance of these products, with the aim of maximizing the competitiveness of your part of the service portfolio.

You will be responsible for generating and assessing ideas for the development and repositioning of products in your part of the portfolio and fleshing these ideas out into actionable development proposals. You will own and assemble the business plan and financial case (Including assessments of customer value and value to SGRE) for each possible product development in your area, and advocate for the development of the strongest options.

During the development process for new products, you will work in close partnership with the Project Manager for the project, providing them with clarity on the product requirements in terms of features and functionality, based on your ongoing market research and engagement with our customers.

You will also ensure that the sales teams are suitably supported through good quality training, product documentation, and a well aligned sales plan. Post release, you will monitor the performance of the product and ensure any outstanding issues are addressed. You will continue to monitor the performance of released products in your care throughout their life and propose changes or retirement as appropriate.

About you
The ideal candidate will have a strong commercial background and the ability to think in a strategic way about products and their place in the market. Candidates will need to demonstrate an understanding of how products create value for customers. Significant experience in roles such as Product Management, Sales, Business Development, or Strategy would be an asset.

A sound technical foundation is also important, and an ideal candidate would likely be degree qualified in a discipline of engineering or another STEM subject. Significant experience in the energy industry would be a great asset.
Candidates should be highly independent, self-driven workers who are confident analyzing topics, forming their own opinions and proposals, and then advocating these proposals in a manner that combines both passion and evidence. Product Managers are expected and encouraged to be decisive decision makers, and to advocate for their decisions.

You should also be an extremely strong communicator with great people skills and good persuasive ability. The role has a wide range of stakeholders both internally and externally, so confident networking is key. Your English should be of a very high standard, both spoken and written.

The preferred locations for this role are based at our offices in either Brande (Denmark) or Pamplona (Spain).
For a sufficiently strong candidate, we might also be open to them being based at one of our other major European offices, i.e. Hamburg (Germany) or Newcastle (UK).

In case you have acquired your skills in alternative ways your application is just as well appreciated.
