Senior Software Developer

We are looking for a talented senior developer to join our highly skilled team. We expect that you are passionate about developing software for embedded products, which set the reference for broadcast and streaming media.

Sky Labs Aalborg is part of Sky Plc and Comcast Inc. At the Aalborg office, we develop key software components for consumer devices used by Sky and Comcast broadcast and internet customers. We are expanding our presence in Denmark, adding additional technical areas and you will have a unique opportunity to grow as part of a new team starting here.

As part of this team, you will participate in the development of UI software for Sky’s Glass TV which is used by millions of customers every day. The team’s mission is to optimise engineering practices through continuous innovation with new tools, processes and frameworks. You will have the opportunity to influence the workflow of a large international team and improve the performance for customer facing features.

What are we looking for?

• Master or BSc in Software Engineering, Computer Science or similar education
• Experience with project-oriented software development
• Experience with C++ or extensive experience in a similar object-oriented language like C#, Kotlin or Swift.
• Strong unit testing experience
• Experience with Python or similar scripting languages
• Experience with Linux is a plus
• Strong continuous improvement mindset
• Talented people with a passion for software architecture, designs and implementation of software systems
• Proactive and adaptable attitude
• Testing mindset
• Curious and open minded towards new technologies and knowledge

Working with product development & supporting existing products:

• Analyze and improve existing workflows
