The job
As Senior Manager for Data & Algorithms, you will be leading a team of 15 highly skilled and motivated employees. The team works with development of prediction models for new applications and maintenance of the existing model portfolio. Linking chemometric data analysis with instrument software, hardware and application is the DNA of FOSS, and you will be working in the interface between comprehensive databases, modelling tools and massive expert knowledge.

You will be responsible for increasing innovation within algorithms and chemometrics. As part of our new strategy, you will develop and execute a new Data & Algorithms strategy. To accomplish this, you will set the direction and motivate and inspire your team along the way.

Your daily work base will be in our headquarters in Hillerød, where you will be part of the R&D Management Team. You will report to the Senior Vice President of R&D.

Your primary tasks will be:

• Developing and executing a new Data & Algorithms strategy
• Continuously improving performance and drive innovation
• Prioritising tasks in collaboration with your team
• Developing and sustain high employee engagement
• To act as a sparring partner for employees on challenges

Qualifications
You hold a Master’s Degree or a PhD in a relevant discipline, for example Chemometrics or Mathematics. You have solid knowledge of food analysis and spectroscopic methods like IR, NIR, and X-ray.

You have extensive experience with people management, leadership and innovation. To succeed in the job, you need to have solid experience running a department within data analysis and algorithm development.

You probably also have experience with some of the following:

• Management with participation in international management team
• Project Management
• Chemometrics and algorithm development
• Machine learning
• Innovation

Personal skills
The right candidate has a high drive, is curious and a good listener. You are visionary and able to identify and drive forward new ideas and opportunities. You are able to take lead, voice your opinion and challenge in constructive ways. Additionally, you have good English skills verbally as well as written.
