Karnov has a dedicated in-house development team that numbers around 30 people. Their applications are mainly written in Ruby, but they use and are open to many different technologies including Python, React, Solr, Neo4j and Docker. Projects at Karnov Group are undertaken by small agile teams of five or fewer and there’s a healthy mix of new greenfield work, as well as improvement of the legacy applications. Tools used include Github, Slack and Pivotal Tracker.  
 
You will be joining Karnovs "Pipeline team", developing and maintaining systems for gathering and enrichment of external documents for the Karnov Group content ecosystem. Your responsibility will be to participate in improving, extending and monitoring these systems, ensuring the quality of the produced documents, making the platform a more complete resource for Karnovs customers.    
 
Your profile
To work in this team you should be   

• An excellent communicator and collaborator  
• A proficient and thoughtful programmer with experience in Ruby  
• A practitioner of Test Driven Development  
• A competent pair programmer who can share knowledge effectively  
• Pragmatic with awareness of your customers’ needs and the problem you’re solving for them  
• Knowledgeable about HTTP and HTML / XML documents    

Furthermore you have demonstrated solid results by programming solutions.
 
The culture in Karnov Group is characterised by diversity, and there are no specific requirements regarding educational background - you may have an IT education at a higher level, or you may be autodidact. 
 
You have high standards for code, and are expected to easily manage more than one programming language. Ruby is the predominant language in Karnov Group, but they strive to develop in the language best suitable for solving the problem at hand. 
 
It is important that you have a great drive and are motivated by independent work in a dedicated team. It is crucial that you thrive being busy with daily operations where tasks may change frequently. You are also expected to be creative and able to figure out solutions and carry out the work to reach the goals. You are motivated by contributing to the whole development team, and you enjoy collaboration with all lines of business. 
 
Fluency in English is necessary. Proficiency in Danish and/or Swedish is a plus.
