Can you develop and drive risk management in the Signalling Programme?
We are hiring a Risk Manager for our Programme Management Office (PMO). As a Risk Manager we expect you to have the ability and drive to contribute to effective risk management and thus implementation of the new signalling system on time. You either have some experience as a Risk Manager or have another relevant profile and are eager to learn.
We are fully engaged replacing the entire signalling system with ERTMS (European Railway Traffic Management System) Level 2, Baseline 3 technology on the national railway and CBTC (Communication Based Traffic Control) on the S-trains.
Denmark is the first country to implement ERTMS on a national scale. The replacement is organized in the Signalling Programme in a portfolio of projects to be completed by 2030 – in close collaboration with internal departments as well as international suppliers and consultants from across Europe.
As a risk manager, you will be part of our PMO, working with development and anchoring of practical risk management solutions across the programme, in close collaboration with the Programme Risk Manager and our PMO planning function. Over time, you will drive Risk Management in one or more projects as well as you may be involved in supporting other parts of the organisation working with Risk Management.
We offer a dedicated, international and professional environment along with highly skilled colleagues and your work location is our brand new and modern headquarters near Dybbølsbro in Copenhagen.
Risk Management, analysis and communication
You will work together with the Programme Risk Manager with multiple tasks, including updating and maintenance of our Risk Management tool RamRisk, further development of processes and tools as well as risk reporting. Moreover, you will support us in the monthly reporting, where we report our programme- and project risk status to our management and the Ministry.
Secondly, you will drive risk management in one or more projects over time. The starting point is managing risks towards our time schedules, using RamRisk. You will work in close collaboration with the project management team and the rest of your project team, identifying, assessing and communicating risks along changes to the schedules. The task includes collaboration with many stakeholders, including suppliers and other internal and external projects with deliverables to the project. Furthermore, you will perform monthly risk reporting towards management.
You have a university degree, a degree within engineering or similar and have relevant work experience. You have either practised Risk Management in projects or have other relevant experience from projects and are eager to learn Risk Management.
We are looking for a new colleague who as a minimum is familiar with the project management disciplines. If you already have concrete experience with Risk Management in larger projects within eg. infrastructure or similar and know of best practice management models such as PMI and PRINCE2, it is an advantage. The same goes for experience with RamRisk.
No matter your educational background and work experience it is a prerequisite that you are energetic and persistent of character and one of your core competencies is stakeholder management, being able to create value through other people. You have a positive mindset and can challenge status quo. You support the projects and management teams by providing a sound basis for decision making through risk documentation, communication and reporting.
As we are a multinational programme with more than 15 nationalities, you are fluent in spoken and written English. Our working language is English and/or Danish.
You will be employed in relation to current labour agreements and your salary is settled based on your experiences and qualifications.
