Production Director (RBU) for Haldor Topsoe Catalyst Plant in Frederikssund, Denmark

We are looking for a new Production Director for our catalyst plant in Frederikssund. This position will be responsible for the production, quality control, maintenance and continuous improvements in four of our production departments, in addition to the Quality Assurance Laboratories.

The catalyst plant in Frederikssund plays a significant role in the company as the flagship production facility. It was established in 1963 and has expanded since, now having 660 employees working in nine production plants, warehouses, workshops, laboratories and supporting functions. The annual production volume is approximately 32.000 tons of catalyst for the global markets. The plant is efficient and has continuously improved over the years through optimization and improvements of the production lines via hard work from engaged employees and leaders.

We offer an interesting and challenging key position where you will be contributing actively to our forward journey as the company’s growth strategy entails.

You will be member of the site’s management team and are expected to participate actively in its strategy formulation and execution, as well as managing the production units. You will report to Vice President of Catalyst Production, Marty Piwetz.

Your responsibilities
Besides the daily operation of the plant, the job requires further development of the plant and contribution to the development of the Global Supply Unit to ensure fulfillment of the future business needs. The company is organized in a matrix structure with three business units and catalyst production as a resource unit to the different business streams. This requires close coordination and prioritization of capacity, resources and investments in close collaboration with business stakeholders and colleagues in the Global Supply Unit. Qualifications
The preferred candidate has a degree in engineering, and / or experience from production management and from a certified production (ISO 9001 or other similar), including experience with communication with authorities and stakeholders. You have management experience and leading through leaders. You may also have experience with overseeing execution of large investment projects. You are an experienced leader of Change Management processes and preferably have experience with LEAN.
