Optical Test Engineer – Ultraprecise Lasers
Are you our new optical test engineer responsible for the test equipment used every day in manufacturing? Are you ready to improve the up-time by knowing every little detail and prepared to service the equipment to enhance throughput and quality of our ultraprecise lasers?
We are looking for a technically strong test engineer with proven experience in manufacturing test systems. The job requires good understanding of automated test setups as well as general knowledge of electrical and/or optical test equipment. Equally important is a strong interest in maintenance and process control – being able to track yield and quality and act accordingly.
You will be part of a small team that are technically responsible for the operational effectiveness of our automated testing setups. The position involves responsibility for the equipment and for assisting with new test systems for new products. You will be the point of contact for our operators when issues need attention.
You will interact with our skilled operators as well as our engineering department with backgrounds in Optical Fibers, Splicing, Lasers and LEAN Manufacturing. The position requires a significant degree of technical insight as the automated test systems relies on specialized equipment and processes. You will also be responsible for annual calibration and service of the equipment when needed.
You will be responsible for process yield reports and contribute to implement process and product improvements to optimize our throughput.
Work hours may be outside normal business hours to cover technical issues during evening shifts.
In order to succeed in the job, you must have a strong technical background with a relevant engineering degree as well as a strong interest in optimizing processes. Experience with both LabView and fiber optic laser modules is a plus but not a requirement, but a manufacturing and process driven mindset is important.
You thrive in a challenging environment where technical challenges and pressure to deliver on time are ever present. You enjoy working in a team and can motivate others through constructive dialog.
It is a requirement to have a Danish work permit.
You can work with people of different nationalities and you maintain a positive mindset even when you are challenged, and deadlines are tight. You will be interacting with colleagues of different educational and cultural backgrounds, so communication and interpersonal skills are critical.
