How to contribute to our vision

We are looking for a new colleague for our Bearing Module within Technical Systems in the Service Product Integrity & Technology organization.

The Bearing Module is a global team of highly skilled technical resources located in Denmark, Germany, Spain. The team is responsible for Main Bearings, Blade Bearings and related sub-components in the installed fleet of turbines.

Here is the opportunity to work in a dynamic environment with technical issues on a global level.

We are conducting and reviewing root cause analyses of bearings and related subcomponents to ensure learnings from field are captured and addressed within the organization and to our suppliers. We define both interim containment actions, as well as develop the needed retrofit solution and corresponding documentation for the permanent corrective actions.

You will lead technical cases independently, but also collaborate with colleagues of other departments to find solutions on complex technical matters. Part of your work will be providing technical engineering expertise to platforms and other stakeholders and provide best practice knowledge sharing to the rest of the organization to ensure effective technical solutions across functions.

It is of highest priority to ensure safe operation in the field and to ensure that our customers are getting the best possible service, internal as well as external.
Your main responsibilities will be:

  • Conducting root cause analyses based on failures in installed field, tests, inputs from regions etc.

  • Developing retrofit solutions

  • Analyzing and investigating components for performance evaluation

  • Forecasting field behavior of components based on statistical and hands-on experience

  • Participating in test and validation of new components

  • Ensuring new components are introduced with respect to the complete system

  • Ensuring learnings from field are being documented and shared within the organization and driving risk mitigation on new designs

What you need to make a difference
Passion for renewable energy and a sense for the importance to lead the change. We are looking for a new team member with a background in Mechanical Engineering, Marine Engineering or similar. You have a broad technical understanding and can see technical topics from both a theoretical and practical ´hands-on´ point of view.

You should be experienced in documenting your work in a structured way - We use the 8D problem solving methodology as part of our case handing process.

Excellent English skills both orally and in writing is therefore a must in the international team, and it is of highest importance that you can communicate your results in a clear way to both technical and commercial colleagues.

You have a B.Sc. or similar within a relevant engineering area.

You are proactive and driving your work independently, but you also work well in cross functional teams. You are confident in communicating and not afraid to go on-site.

You are a good observer and you have flair for spotting details and relating them to a bigger picture.

Due to our global presence, approximately 15-25 travel days a year should be expected.

In return of your commitment we offer you…
Become a part of our mission for sustainability: Clean energy for generations to come. We are a global team of diverse colleagues who share a passion for renewable energy and have a culture of trust and empowerment to make our own ideas a reality. We focus on personal and professional development to grow internally within our organization.
