Job description
We are seeking a motivated and forward-thinking Manufacturing Engineer to improve current process capability, efficiency, and overall productivity in all areas of our manufacturing facilities both internal and external on new and existing products.

As Manufacturing Engineer at Invisio, you will be responsible for New Product Introduction and product maintenance projects together with suppliers and contract manufacturers worldwide. As Invisio have outsourced manufacturing – most of your time you will act as project manager towards suppliers and contract manufacturers to ensure they have required quality control in place, can meet our delivery requirements, and meet our cost targets. Remaining time, you will support design projects, run and coordinate prototype builds, run build reviews and hands-on-tasks on the shop floor to secure efficient processes, standards and quality. You will also take on various investigations and tests in relation to development and non-conformities.

This position requires the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with engineering-, supply chain-, and quality co-workers, and communicate across various levels of the organization to support the day-to-day operations. Being a Manufacturing Engineer at Invisio also requires the creative use of problem-solving and analytical skills combined with proven engineering and manufacturing expertise to provide innovative solutions to complex engineering and manufacturing problems. Knowledge of product design, electro-mechanical assembly, machining, tooling, injection molding, and materials will allow for best practices in providing process improvements.

Technical Skills and Competencies
To succeed in the job, you most likely hold an Engineering degree in Manufacturing/Industrial Engineering or equivalent. 
Furthermore, you:

  • Have knowledge about electro-mechanical assembly
  • Have project management experience in a manufacturing environment 
  • Have interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
  • Have knowledge about Continuous Improvement, Lean Manufacturing Processes 
  • May have experience in High mix, low volume manufacturing, High Volume Assembly, and Plastic Injection Molding
  • Have strong planning and organization skills 
  • Have ability to positively influence and build relationships with team members
  • Have knowledge in reviewing product- and production documentation
  • Have excellent skills in oral and written English
  • Can understand Scandinavian languages (useful)
  • Hold a drivers’ licence and have access to a car. 

Yourself
You are an open-minded person with passion for manufacturing and coordination and strive to get the task done in due time to high standards. You have a few years of experience with manufacturing of electro-mechanical assembly preferable with contract manufacturing. You are most interested in spending time on the shop floor and are willing to accept 10-25 days of traveling. 

You like working in cross-functional teams and have a practical focus on getting things done. You are independent and self-driven, and you take on the planning and coordination of your projects, running them from start to finish. You have an analytic and structured approach and focus on how to get things to work in real life. You are enthusiastic with a high degree of personal initiative and you like to work with others in a dynamic and international environment.
