Low level Software test developer for industry leading embedded platform (whitebox testing)

Do you thrive on technical challenges and have what it takes to become part of an ambitious team that develops advanced proprietary multi-core Network-on-Chip IoT chipsets? Are you looking for a career where you actually help to make a real difference for millions of people worldwide? Then we have a unique opportunity for you!

We are looking for a low level software test developer to be part of our Chipset Firmware Platform Group consisting of 17 highly skilled colleagues. The atmosphere is informal and humorous but at the same time extremely ambitious. We are not afraid to say that we have some of the best developers in town!

The challenge: Securing the quality of a complex proprietary embedded platform
Our challenge here is to deliver the most advanced audio-enabled, wearable IoT device available, packed in a tiny package, running of a miniscule battery and living up to medical device standards.

We work on a highly specialized custom chipset and thus do not have the luxury of a platform tested by 1000s of other uses before us. We therefore rely on extensive automated stress testing to ensure that all defects in Hardware and Software are exposed. Our tests range from Hardware driver level to the upper layers of the BLE stack and therefore need to touch upon areas such as memory integrity, power management, audio integrity, real-timeness, packet loss, general robustness etc.

The impact of your work is huge as the proprietary Network-on-Chip based chipset you help to develop is used in all Oticon hearing aids.

In headlines, you will:

  • Develop and maintain automated test cases for regression, stress and platform verification
  • Cooperating closely with our developers on the resolution of the defects you expose
  • Maintaining and expanding our test system with Hardware (remote controlled smartphones, audio sources, switches etc.) to allow an ever-increasing amount of test automation

Your competencies
We are looking for experienced developers and for talented new-graduates.

We expect you to hold a relevant degree in Electronics or Computer Engineering and have experience with Software testing on embedded systems.

We are looking for the following competencies and experience:

  • Test Development in Java
  • C

If you have experience with Linux, Bash and Python it is an advantage.

Possible candidates for this job could be:

  • A new graduate within embedded systems who did some testing work during his/her study and who sees this position as a good entry to one of the most advanced embedded teams in Denmark
  • A tester with a couple of years of experience, who has some higher level embedded knowledge and would like to move closer to the embedded Software
  • A robotics major who would like to move into the embedded world

We dare to make a difference
Together with ambitious and talented colleagues you will be part of a dynamic environment based on trust and openness, where you will experience a strong will to win. We are a growing international company where everyone supports the business in order to ensure that our products are the most attractive. We are located in a light and open building, where flexible work environments, knowledge-sharing and mutual professional respect make work fun and meaningful.
