The position is based in Offshore engineering within the area of Support Structures (tower and foundations). The department of Support Structures cover PM’s, Loads, Primary Structures Design, Secondary Structures Design and System Integration whereas the last part is divided into three teams: Project Integration, Master Data & Support and Design Verification

You will report to the Head of ‘Project Integration’ within this area. In the team of Project Integration, the system needed to complete specific projects are integrated. The complete system consists mainly of input and modules from primary structure and secondary structure and includes project specific requirements. Your focus area will be secondary structure and your responsibility as Lead Engineer will be technical project management. The team consists of highly skilled and experienced Lead Engineers located both in Vejle, Denmark & Hamburg, Germany.

How to contribute to our vision
As Lead Engineer (Technical Project Manager) for secondary structure you will be the leading person from System Integration that connects all involved internal stakeholders throughout the entire project implementation, from early sales phase to commissioning. You will entirely be the responsible person for a successful implementation of all our secondary structure deliverables towards the execution project.

Your main task will be:

  • Participation in customer meetings, providing technical knowledge towards technical sales.
  • Providing technical support towards suppliers during manufacturing (First Article Inspection (FAI), Pre-assembly, Installation and commissioning.
  • Creating resource and project detailed planning in form of man hour budgets and project timelines.
  • Scoping project specific requirements (PRS) towards internal stakeholders.
  • Close cooperation with internal stakeholder, providing project status towards Engineering managers from all areas within System Integration.

What you need to make a difference
Passion for renewable energy and a sense for the importance to lead the change.

The ideal candidate has a degree in Engineering, project management or similar combined with relevant experience, preferably combined with +5 years of relevant experience within the Offshore or Wind Power industry.

You have a strong technical background; and you are familiar with engineering disciplines associated with the design of wind turbines.

It feels natural for you to take the lead in complex tasks with many stakeholders.

  • are positive, proactive, motivating and innovative, and you have a systematic and quality-oriented approach as well as the ability to keep an overview even under pressure
  • are structured and pragmatic in your way of dealing with issues and challenges
  • thrive in setting the structure rather that the structure is set for you
  • enjoy working in an international environment and possess excellent English skills both orally and in writing
