Join Coloplast and support our efforts to enhance the sustainability of our products by improving our knowledge of and environmental impact of chemicals we use in our products and production. You will become part of the global Sustainability department dedicated to integrating sustainability across the organization and making sure our products become even more sustainable while making life easier for people with intimate healthcare needs.
Welcome to your new team
At our headquarters in Humlebæk, you will join the Sustainability department which is anchored in Global Quality, Regulatory Affairs and Sustainability. The Sustainability department is responsible for embedding and operationalizing the sustainability strategy across the organisation and supporting on sustainability-related topics across our business areas and strategic business units.
You will be part of the newly established Sustainability Product Impact team, making sure we enhance the positive sustainability impact our products create. As part of our Strive25 strategy, our team is responsible for recyclable and renewable packaging KPIs, and embedding sustainability into the way we develop and improve our products. Together with colleagues in Biosafety and Chemical compliance, we actively strive to reduce the negative health and environmental impacts of chemicals used in our products and/or production processes.
To succeed, we collaborate closely with a wide range of stakeholders within and outside of Coloplast.
Help us make our products even more sustainable
As our new Jr. Sustainability Assistant, you will have a variety of exciting tasks related to chemicals used in products and/or production, while also evaluating the environmental impact. We offer a flexible and friendly work environment that accommodates your study, with the opportunity to expand your areas of responsibility depending on the company priorities and your personal and professional interests.
You will be responsible for:
- Collecting data on chemicals of environmental concern from our suppliers and updating internal databases
- Evaluating the impact of hazardous substances in production and on the environment
- Reviewing relevant legislation and creating guidance for Coloplast compliance
- Monitoring public space to gather relevant insights and build internal knowledge base on chemicals of environmental concern, microplastics, etc.
- Support criteria development and documentation for relevant sustainability product claims
- Answer tender, customer or internal requests related to use of chemicals in our products and/or production
- Various ad hoc administrative tasks for the team and the department
As an ideal candidate, you:
- Have completed around one to two years of relevant university studies within toxicology, chemistry, environmental engineering/management or similar, and have two years left before finishing your studies
- Have a keen interest in sustainability, chemicals and environmental impact
- Are structured and methodological
- Speak and write English fluently
- Have a can-do attitude with a high degree of personal efficiency
- Can work 10-20 hours per week at our headquarters in Humlebæk
