IT System Manager in Device Research and Development

About the Department
Device R&D is an area within our Global R&D organisation. We are responsible for the development of medical devices for self-treatment. Device R&D has a long and outstanding track-record of developing the best, most innovative and widely used injection devices in the world, and our obligation is to support the Device R&D strategy by maximising the value of current device portfolio within diabetes, growth disorder, haemophilia and new therapies. This position is located in our Design Control, Validation and IT department consisting of 15 good colleagues. In the IT team, we will be three experienced IT experts working closely together with projects in Research and Development, helping them develop new medical device products for Novo Nordisk A/S.

The position
As our new IT System Manager, your main responsibility is to ensure that IT facilitates optimal device development by supporting the various IT systems and processes in the area. This means that you will:

Play a key role as the driver and implementor of our operational, tactical and strategic efforts regarding the maintenance and development of our CAD and PDM/PLM systems, namely Creo, Windchill PDMLink and 3DX

Help drive and support local and global IT initiatives in Device R&D and ensure relevant stakeholders are kept up to date on progress

Leverage past work experiences and input from internal and external sources to find suggestions for future IT solutions that could help drive innovation in Device R&D and provide sparring to end-users and management in Device R&D regarding IT related matters

Qualifications
You preferably have knowledge of CAD and PDM/PLM systems as well as experience in supporting, configuring and maintaining such systems. You hold a degree in Mechanical Engineering, IT or similar relevant field, which has given you a solid analytic approach to problem solving. You have at least five years of experience from similar positions.

On a personal level, you are honest and a good team player able to motivate colleagues and secure momentum. At the same time, you possess a personal drive and enjoy working independently as well. You must thrive in an extrovert role building relations to end-users and super-users across a large organisation. Moreover, you have a systematic approach and strong documentation skills.

Last, but not least, you must have strong English language skills – particularly in writing as a substantial part of the job is to prepare and maintain system documentation.
