Your Responsibilities as IT Student Assistant

The IT Department is looking for a Student Analyst who has an interest in IT and who possesses excellent coordination skills and has a general structural mindset in order to assist the Global IT Manager in various projects and everyday tasks within the department. Your task and responsibilities will be coordinating meetings with internal and external stakeholders, preparing presentation material for internal project meetings, structure the inbox and be able to coordinate and prioritise e-mails. You will also assist with ad hoc IT tasks and coordinate IT projects. You will report directly to the Global IT Manager.

Your main tasks will be:

  • Assist the Global IT Manager by screening, prioritising and marking incoming information and communication (phone, e-mail), responding, re-directing or referring to the appropriate colleague
  • Calendar management and coordinate meetings
  • Prepare presentation material for meetings
  • Standardise procedures and user requirements
  • Project coordination for internal IT projects, e.g. cloud migration
  • Assist and support in various ad hoc tasks within the IT Department

Are You the Right Candidate?

Your “can-do” attitude and structured approach to solving your tasks are key in this position together with being innovative on project matters. You are open-minded by nature and you handle all requests – big and small – with an accommodating attitude and commitment. You are able to simplify complex topics or material and communicate a clear message in a simple and efficient way. You thrive on taking responsibility, and deal with various incoming requests in order to serve the Global IT Manager and the organisation in the best possible way. You know how to handle sensitive and confidential information with appropriate discretion and professionalism.

Your educational background is less important than your personality and your mindset, but we do value any type of education within the field of IT or similar. You have an interest in learning and providing assistance to the Global IT Manager in a fast-growing, global, pharmaceutical company.

You must be a skilled user of the Microsoft Office package (especially Outlook, PowerPoint, Word and Excel) and preferably you have experience in using SharePoint. Our business language is English and Danish, and therefore you must be fluent in both languages, written and spoken.

We expect you to work 15-20 hours (preferably divided into 3-5 working days) per week, but naturally we show flexibility in exam periods.

Furthermore, we expect that you:

  • Are a Bachelor or Master student within IT, business administration or similar
  • Have great communication skills in Danish and English
  • Have experience with Microsoft Office
  • Have excellent coordination skills

Your Future Colleagues

The IT Department is responsible for providing the best possible infrastructure for the operating systems and network that our colleagues use. They work to optimise the ways our colleagues communicate, collaborate and automate routine tasks through IT systems. You will be part of a team in Denmark consisting of 5 full-time employees, 2 student analysts and 2 IT trainees. Being part of a global organisation, you will also have colleagues in Hungary and the Netherlands. You will become a vital part of our global team in IT, and work closely together with colleagues in other departments within the organisation. Despite our very busy work week, we celebrate our achievements and focus on a positive atmosphere and a culture that is characterised by cross-unit collaboration.
