This internship provides a unique opportunity to put your theoretical skills into practice and create real value for our customers. As an intern, you will be part of one of our development teams, and be allocated tasks on an equal footing with your colleagues. Your daily work will take place in a scrum team where you will enjoy close collaboration with Testers, Developers and Project Managers. Daily life at Systematic is fast-paced and full-on but we make sure we have fun, and you’re learning and job satisfaction are important to us. From day one you will be assigned a mentor and at the start of your internship you will participate in courses that will thoroughly prepare you for working at Systematic.

The internship offers practical experience with some of the following technologies and methods:

  • JIRA and other Atlassian products
  • GIT
  • Scrum
  • ISTQB
  • Test design techniques
  • TeamCity
  • HTML CSS
  • SQL

You will work with these technologies in connection with the following tasks:

  • Designing and implementing test cases for manual as well as automated tests
  • Participating in debugging and clarifying root causes
  • Identifying and reporting defects
  • Documenting test execution
  • Test environments and set-up
  • Test automation

As a Tester for Systematic it is important that you are able to combine a meticulous approach with drive and technical insight. Testing is an integral part of our development process and we are leaders in software testing. As an intern you will build on your expertise as a Tester and as a Developer and take part in technically challenging and exciting tasks. You will acquire considerable know-how about testing, giving you a good overall picture of the entire development phase. The internship lasts 5-6 months, starting in February 2021. The internship will be a full-time position but naturally we are flexible in relation to your studies and ECTS points requirements. This is a paid internship if your studies allow.

Keen technological skills
We expect you to be studying software development, information technology, health technology, data science or similar at BSc or MSc level.

You should have a flair for and take an interest in analytical tasks. You should be able to work independently and also as part of a team. As a person you are responsible, curious and highly motivated. In addition, you have the competences which are required to develop innovative software solutions. You are outgoing by nature and take a positive approach to your work and you are willing to shoulder new tasks and tackle new challenges. You are also proactive and very committed.

Freedom with responsibility
As an intern at Systematic you will be treated as an equal with the other employees. You will be part of our team from day one and be involved in performing the team’s tasks. You will be able to organise your working day to a considerable extent and, following a thorough introduction to the project and domain, you will be able to handle tasks independently in the team. We will endeavour to strike a good balance between your personal wishes, your formal study requirements and our expectations and priorities. The most important thing for us is that you learn a lot and enjoy your time with us and that you find the internship to be a rich opportunity for professional and personal development.

We work with security-classified projects, and therefore, you as an employee at Systematic need to have security clearance. Read more here: http://systematic.com/clearance.
