Do you want to combine your theoretical knowledge within electrical and SW engineering, and are you at a stage in your education where an internship is planned?

Join us and become an intern in the Electrical and SCADA department which is responsible for the integrity of all electrical (both HV and LV) and SW installations on our wind farms in operation in Denmark, the UK and Germany. This responsibility means that we are handling the large technical faults in the fleet, and we specify the preventive maintenance which are to be carried out.

You will be based at either our office in Gentofte in the Greater Copenhagen area. However, if you are to work with the wind turbine electrical area you can choose to be based in Skærbæk near Fredericia. However, you should expect some travelling to the different sites.

You will work 37 hours a week, and you will have flexibility in connection with examination papers. Please note that the internship is temporary.

We are looking for an intern for each of the following main technical areas for spring 2018: SCADA systems and network, HV and cables, and wind turbine electricals.

Your key duties will be to

  • assist our engineers in failure root causes analysis
  • collect data and make technical analysis based on these
  • structure and organise information and make it easily accessible
  • perform technical case management, including supplier communication.

The technical content of your tasks will depend on which technical area that you will be working for.

Your qualifications and core competences include that you:

  • are currently studying to become an electrical or SW engineer and have at least two years left before graduating
  • are interested in working with and learning more about offshore wind power and specifically about the hardware and software systems that carry the electricity from the wind turbines to the grid
  • have a positive attitude, a large drive and are eager to learn
  • are able to focus on a specific task for a long period
  • show good documentation skills when delivering an assignment.

We offer
An exciting internship in a dynamic department where you will have influence and be responsible for handling tasks own your own, thereby contributing to the daily work with your knowledge and expertise. You will be on equal footing with the rest of the department and have the opportunity to spar with dedicated and competent colleagues.

We look forward to receiving your application, CV and diplomas as electronic files by 19 November 2017. Please specify at the top of your application which technical area you are applying within (SCADA systems and network, HV and cables, or wind turbine electricals).
