International Data Protection Manager for on-site support of our European and worldwide subsidiaries

The job
The main task is to implement our data protection management system in the group branches and with high personal commitment ensure that it can be complied with consistently in everyday work life.

As a specialist in data protection, you will gradually bring our branches around the world to the stage where they are ready for data protection audits. Your primarily focus will on the large branches in Denmark and France.

You will ensure that the employees in the branches are familiar with the legal requirements, tools, methods and processes for implementing data protection. You will cooperate closely with the IT department and support the various departments of the respective branch offices in the implementation process. You will coordinate special regional legal requirements with external legal advisors or local authorities.

You will be responsible for a number of operational tasks within the data protection management system in cooperation with the central data protection team, such as

  • processing internal and external data protection queries
  • accepting and checking processes
  • checking data protection incidents or
  • evaluating contract data processors and IT systems.

The planning and implementation of sensitization measures and training is also part of your daily work.

Your profile
You have ability and willingness to get involved with the different topics, tasks and regional peculiarities of your colleagues in the respective branches. Viewing things from their perspective is critical to your success. You are diplomatic, persuasive with great communication and presentation skills.

You like to travel and, if necessary, spend several weeks at a location abroad, especially during upcoming audits or the introduction of new data protection laws. A willingness to travel up to 50% of the working time isn’t a problem for you.

Your qualifications
You are a person with great overview and attention to detail. You have an international mindset and great ability to create structure and guidelines.

Besides that:

  • you have the right educational background within IT or Data Privacy
  • you have professional experience in the field of data protection
  • you have good knowledge of European data protection law and routine handling of data protection requirements
  • you have basic knowledge of information security management
  • you have data protection certification
  • you are an excellent communicator in English and preferably have good knowledge of French, both written and spoken

You can also be at the beginning of your career; you just have to have great interest and desire to learn all the above-mentioned topics!
